Texas High School Volleyball - South San Antonio edged by Southwest

September 5, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78224

Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Dragons (14-13) will now prepare for their challenge against MacArthur (San Antonio, TX). The Brahmas enter the 5A Region IV District 28 challenge with a 15-11 record. In their last challenge, MacArthur got by McCollum (San Antonio, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. South San Antonio will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Southside (San Antonio, TX).
