The Cougars travel to Community Charter (Lakeview Terrace, CA) to encounter the Titans in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 10. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 1-3. Match Summary
Alliance opened up set 1 leading 4-3 before Lake Balboa made it 8-4. The Griffins closed to 6-8 only to have the Cougars jump ahead 11-6. The teal & black took 13 of the next 15 points to breeze to the win. Again AMIT went up 4-3 in set 2 only to have Laketown open it up to 7-4. The Griffins closed to 10-11 before LBCP went ahead 16-10. The Lake Show won the sideout war 9-4 for the victory. But save the drama for your....set 3. 7-3 Cougars all but disappears at 9-8. Alliance made their move with 6 straight unanswered points, 14-9. Lake Balboa topped the plucky Griffins at 16-14, then 20-15. The Griffins took flight up to 19-20 before the goal line stand held at 21-19. AMIT led again 22-21 before the Cougar 6 battled back to 23-22 but Alliance struck again at 23 all only to then miss their serve!
