September 9, 2024: Danielsville, GA 30633 The Madison County Red Raiders edged the visiting Elbert County Blue Devils softball squad by a count of 11-10 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Red Raiders meet the Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Madison County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 6-4 league win over Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA).
The Blue Devils (6-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots enter the 1A D-I Region 8 challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, Oglethorpe County edged Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA), 14-9, in a non-league challenge.
