The Southern Wake Academy Lions were victorious over the visiting Ascend Leadership Aviators basketball squad by a final score of 37-27 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Lions face the Woods Charter Wolves (Chapel Hill, NC) in a 1A Central Tar Heel outing, on Monday, February 3. Southern Wake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Wolves enter the outing with a 8-6 record after their 40-39 non-league win over Discovery Charter School (Bahama, NC).
