January 15, 2025: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), observed Northeastern's basketball team knock off First Flight by a score of 61-44.

The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights come into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Currituck County dropped by Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA), 79-24, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Nighthawks encounter the Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge, on Friday, January 17. First Flight will attempt to improve on its 8-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 53-47 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
