Arizona High School Basketball - Higley can't hold off Desert Mountain

The Desert Mountain Wolves basketball team scored 90 points and held the host Higley Knights to 83 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolves now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chaparral for a 5A Northeast Valley contest on Friday, January 12. Desert Mountain will battle a Firebirds team coming off a 45-43 non-league win over Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 7-6.

The Knights (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ). The Pride enter the 5A San Tan contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Mountain Pointe was nudged by Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ), 62-58, in a non-league contest.
