The Vela Sabercats basketball team (Edinburg, TX), dropped 53-37 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX)

The Hornets now possess a 26-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 28. Flour Bluff will confront a Eagles team coming off a 57-30 non-league win over McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 25-11.
