In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Union Academy Cardinals basketball team scored a decisive 74-7 triumph over the Central Academy Cougars.

In their next game, the Cardinals meet the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 7. Union Academy will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).

With the defeat, Central Academy moves to 0-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC) to meet the Wonders in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 6. The Wonders enter the match with a record of 4-0. A.L. Brown won 41-27 in their recent non-league match against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC)
