The Vela Sabercats basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Rowe Warriors to 34 in the Sabercats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabercats now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North for a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, December 22. Vela will meet a Raiders team coming off a 59-14 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 11-11.

The Warriors (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers enter the 5A Region IV District 31 contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Sharyland triumphed over Valley View (Pharr, TX), 55-21, in a league contest.
