The Youngker Roughriders basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Independence Patriots to 48 in the Roughriders league victory on Friday.

The Roughriders now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glendale for a 5A Central Valley contest on Tuesday, January 17. Youngker will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 90-53 league loss to Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-8.
