Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant beaten by Carlisle

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Carlisle Chiefs basketball team scored a good 35-27 triumph over the New Covenant Gryphons .

In their next game, the Chiefs meet the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 17. Carlisle will attempt to move on its 16-8 season record. The Mavericks go into the test with a 19-6 record after their 65-56 non-league loss to Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA).

The Gryphons now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Mennonite for a VISAA Blue Ridge test on Friday, February 17. New Covenant will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 63-44 non-league loss to Ridgeview Christian (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Flames record now stands at 8-12.
