August 31, 2023: Hayesville, NC 28904 The Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) football edged the host Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC), 12-6 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 7. Murphy will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Black Knights enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 12-10 non-league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, NC).
The Yellowjackets (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils enter the non-league bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Swain County nudged Andrews (Andrews, NC), 34-14, in a non-league bout.
