The Norte Vista Braves (Riverside, CA) basketball nipped the host Corona Panthers (Corona, CA), 54-47 in Monday's non-league test.

The Braves (7-4) will now prepare for their test against La Sierra (Riverside, CA). The Eagles go into the River Valley test with a 5-18 record. In their last test, La Sierra was tipped by Patriot (Jurupa Valley, CA), 49-33, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 12-10 record. They play next when they travel to Centennial for a Big VIII test on Tuesday, January 17. Corona will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 66-62 non-league win over Camden (Camden, NJ). The Huskies record now stands at 17-3.
