The Alleghany Trojans basketball team (Sparta, NC), was routed 54-21 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC)

The Cardinals now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Stokes for a 1A Conference 36 battle on Friday, February 3. East Wilkes will battle a Vikings team coming off a 42-35 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 14-8.

The Trojans (0-20) will now prepare for their battle against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks come into the 1A Conference 36 battle with a 3-16 record. In their last battle, Elkin was routed by Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 56-45, in a non-league battle.
