Georgia High School Basketball - Gainesville overwhelms Apalachee
January 10, 2023: Gainesville, GA 30501 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) and the visiting Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), saw Gainesville's basketball squad wallop Apalachee by a tally of 89-45.
With the victory, Gainesville improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Red Elephants travel to North Forsyth (Cumming, GA) to confront the Raiders in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. North Forsyth won 57-52 in their recent league challenge against Shiloh (Snellville, GA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Apalachee will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 82-69 league loss to Gainesville (Gainesville, GA).
