The Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars topped the host North Central Knights basketball team by a final score of 51-38 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the West Holt Huskies (Atkinson, NE) in a C2 District 11 game, on Tuesday, February 6. Niobrara/Verdigre will attempt to move on its 14-6 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 10-10 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE).
