Palmerton Blue Bombers (Palmerton, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (New Tripoli, PA), 63-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Palmerton upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Blue Bombers travel to Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Allentown Central Catholic won 46-40 in their recent league bout against Emmaus (Emmaus, PA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Salisbury Township Falcons (Allentown, PA) in a Colonial - West bout, on Saturday, December 23. Northwestern Lehigh will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 48-38 non-league win over Moravian Academy (Bethlehem, PA).
