Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Custer Wildcats (Custer, SD) and the host Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD), saw Custer's basketball squad knock off Douglas by a count of 49-40.

With the victory, Custer upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD) to play the Bison in a A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Hot Springs lost 59-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD)

Next up, the Patriots encounter the Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) in a AA test, on Saturday, February 4. Douglas will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record.
