In Friday's league outing, the San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), by a margin of 69-59.

The Bobcats (17-6) will now prepare for their outing against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers go into the 6A Region I District 2 outing with a 22-2 record. In their last outing, Frenship thwarted Midland (Midland, TX), 55-32, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Permian for a 6A Region I District 2 outing on Tuesday, January 18. Abilene will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 69-47 league win over Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 18-6.
