Ohio High School Basketball - Hopewell-Loudon topples New Riegel
January 27, 2024: Bascom, OH 44809 In Saturday's league outing, the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) basketball squad overcame the visiting New Riegel Blue Jackets (New Riegel, OH), by a tally of 56-46.
With the victory, Hopewell-Loudon improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Old Fort (Old Fort, OH) to play the Stockaders in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, February 2. The Stockaders come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Old Fort won 56-43 in their recent league challenge against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH)
Next up, the Blue Jackets play the Riverdale Falcons (Mt. Blanchard, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. New Riegel will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 62-30 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, OH).
