The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) and the visiting Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), saw St. Thomas More's volleyball squad beat Monticello by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 13-5 on the year. The Sabers host Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a Illini Prairie bout on Tuesday, September 27. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Prairie Central lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)

The Sages now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a non-league bout on Monday, September 26. Monticello will play a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Knights record now stands at 13-4.
