Virginia High School Basketball - Indian River overwhelms Great Bridge
January 30, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23325 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), saw Indian River's basketball squad wallop Great Bridge by a tally of 62-28.
With the victory, Indian River improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Hornets in a Southeastern challenge on Friday, February 2. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Deep Creek lost 72-64 in their recent league challenge against Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, February 2. Great Bridge will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 67-65 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, VA).
