December 27, 2023: New Paris, PA 15554 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Chestnut Ridge Lions (New Paris, PA) and the visiting Bishop McCort Crushers (Johnstown, PA), saw Chestnut Ridge's basketball squad overcome Bishop McCort by a tally of 68-49.
With the victory, Chestnut Ridge improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Westmont Hilltop (Johnstown, PA) to confront the Hilltoppers in a Laurel Highlands challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 7-2.
Next up, the Crushers confront the Everett Warriors (Everett, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Bishop McCort will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 53-32 league win over Fannett Metal (Willow Hill, PA).
