The Huskies now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hibriten for a 3A/4A Northwestern battle on Tuesday, January 16. Ashe County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 47-39 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-12.
The Cougars (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the 3A/4A Northwestern battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, Watauga was nudged by East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 67-65, in a non-league battle.
