Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mars holds off Montour

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) and the visiting Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA), saw Mars's basketball squad hold off Montour by a tally of 73-67.

With the victory, Mars improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Fightin' Planets host North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA) to confront the Indians in a WPIAL 5A 4 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. North Hills won 85-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the West Mifflin Titans (West Mifflin, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 4 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Montour will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 64-47 non-league win over Ringgold (Monongahela, PA).
