Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nature Coast Tech Sharks (Brooksville, FL), 55-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Springstead upgrades its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Citrus (Inverness, FL) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 3-16.

Next up, the Sharks play the Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Nature Coast Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 89-46 non-league loss to Lecanto (Lecanto, FL).
