The Mount Pleasant Tigers basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting North Stanly Comets to 62 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Academy for a 1A/2A Conference 35 contest on Friday, January 13. Mount Pleasant will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 72-37 league win over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-11.

The Comets (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 5-10 record.
