The Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ), 52-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Minutemen (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Maroon Raiders go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Nutley notched a victory over Central (Newark, NJ), 41-40, in a non-league test.
The Bengals now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Livingston for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Bloomfield will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 58-34 non-league loss to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 1-6.
