Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ), 51-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newark Academy upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Central (Newark, NJ) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Central won 63-35 in their recent non-league bout against Mount St. Dominic Academy (Caldwell, NJ)

Next up, the Bengals play the Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Bloomfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
