The West Point Dragons basketball team (Avondale, AZ), was overwhelmed 45-21 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Tolleson Wolverines (Tolleson, AZ)

The Wolverines now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Vista for a 6A West Valley battle on Monday, January 15. Tolleson will battle a Monsoon team coming off a 64-43 non-league loss to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Monsoon record now stands at 7-4.

The Dragons (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ). The Rams come into the 6A West Valley battle with a 2-13 record. In their last battle, Maricopa was overwhelmed by Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ), 54-40, in a league battle.
