The High Island Cardinals basketball team (High Island, TX), was toppled 53-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Zavalla Eagles (Zavalla, TX)
The Eagles now possess a 3-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Goodrich for a 1A Region IV District 28 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Zavalla will confront a Hornets team coming off a 73-22 league loss to Spurger (Spurger, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-19.
