In Monday's league test, the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) basketball squad knocked off the visiting St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), by a score of 56-45.

Next, the Crusaders encounter the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) in a Tri-County test, on Thursday, January 16. Marquette will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the test with a 14-5 record after their 51-42 league loss to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL).

The Bruins (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Dwight (Dwight, IL). The Trojans come into the Tri-County test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Dwight beat Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL), 47-26, in a non-league test.
