In Thursday's non-league test, the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) basketball squad knocked off the host Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), by a score of 49-38.

Next, the Bruins clash with the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) in a Tri-County test, on Monday, January 27. St. Bede will attempt to improve on its 15-9 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 5-19 record after their 55-29 non-league loss to Dwight (Dwight, IL).

The Crusaders (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Dwight (Dwight, IL). The Trojans come into the Tri-County test with a 13-10 record. In their last test, Dwight beat Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL), 38-31, in a non-league test.
