In Saturday's non-league outing, the Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), by a count of 61-35.
The Panthers (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Mavericks go into the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Lordsburg smashed Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM), 57-45, in a non-league outing.
The Mountaineers now hold a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Magdalena for a A District 2 outing on Thursday, January 19. Reserve will clash with a Steers squad coming off a 88-38 non-league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Steers record now stands at 15-0.
