The Sandhills/Thedford Knights basketball squad (Dunning, NE), was nudged 42-38 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE)

With the victory, Anselmo-Merna advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Coyotes host Central Valley (Greeley, NE) to meet the Cougars in a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 8-3. Central Valley won 62-30 in their recent non-league battle against Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE)

The Knights now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maywood/Hayes Center for a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. Sandhills/Thedford will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 57-46 non-league loss to Maxwell (Maxwell, NE). The Wolves record now stands at 9-4.
