The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Valley City Hi-Liners (Valley City, ND) and the visiting Northern Cass Jaguars (Hunter, ND), observed Valley City's basketball team knock off Northern Cass by a score of 71-59.

The Hi-Liners (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lisbon (Lisbon, ND). The Broncos come into the A Region 1 challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Lisbon dropped by Kindred (Kindred, ND), 83-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Carrington Cardinals (Carrington, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Northern Cass will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 11-1 record after their 56-31 league win over Four Winds/Minnewaukan (Fort Totten, ND).
