In Friday's league contest, the host Valley City Hi-Liners basketball team scored a good 70-50 triumph over the Northern Cass Jaguars.

The Hi-Liners (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Grove Lutheran (Fargo, ND). The Grovers go into the A Region 1 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Oak Grove Lutheran was toppled by Maple River (Mapleton, MN), 62-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (Medina, ND) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 14. Northern Cass will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 62-7 non-league win over Warwick (Warwick, ND).
