Georgia High School Basketball - Islands edges New Hampstead

The Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) basketball nipped the visiting New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA), 45-40 in Tuesday's league test.

The Sharks (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears go into the AAAA Region 3 test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Burke County got by Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA), 60-44, in a league test.

The Phoenix now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Bulloch for a AAAA Region 3 test on Saturday, January 21.
