North Carolina High School Basketball - Union overwhelmed by North Duplin

The Union Spartans basketball team (Rose Hill, NC), was overwhelmed 68-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC)

The Rebels now possess a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosewood for a 1A Conference 10 battle on Friday, January 20. North Duplin will battle a Eagles team coming off a 38-20 league loss to Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-14.

The Spartans (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A Conference 10 battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Hobbton was overwhelmed by Lakewood (Roseboro, NC), 52-42, in a league battle.
