Kansas High School Basketball - Nemaha Central edges Hiawatha

The Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS) basketball nipped the visiting Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS), 49-45 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Thunder (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Marysville (Marysville, KS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Marysville got by Jackson Heights (Holton, KS), 48-36, in a non-league test.

The Red Hawks now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Holton for a non-league test on Thursday, January 18. Hiawatha will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 69-53 non-league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.
