California High School Basketball - South can't hold off North

North Stars (Bakersfield, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA), 44-43 in a league match.
With the victory, North upgrades its record to 18-4 on the year. The Stars travel to Enochs (Modesto, CA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 11-5. Enochs won 66-63 in their recent league match against Turlock (Turlock, CA)
The Spartans now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tehachapi for a South Yosemite - Mountain match on Wednesday, January 22. South will face a Warriors squad coming off a 62-41 non-league win over Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-5.
