The South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA) basketball edged the visiting North Stars (Bakersfield, CA), 59-56 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they host Tehachapi for a South Yosemite - Mountain bout on Friday, February 7. South will play a Warriors team coming off a 67-40 non-league win over Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-7.
