The Bastrop Bears basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the visiting Elgin Wildcats to 70 in the Bears league victory on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 11-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manor for a 5A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, January 21. Bastrop will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 60-45 league loss to Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-11.
The Wildcats (11-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX). The Hawks come into the 5A Region III District 18 contest with a 8-18 record. In their last contest, Hendrickson was defeated by Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX), 59-51, in a league contest.
