In Friday's league outing, the Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX) basketball squad felled the host Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), by a margin of 70-56.
The Bears (13-18) will now prepare for their outing against Manor (Manor, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region III District 18 outing with a 23-11 record. In their last outing, Manor thwarted Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 45-43, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 11-22 record. They play next when they travel to Hendrickson for a 5A Region III District 18 outing on Tuesday, February 15. Elgin will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 46-42 league win over Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 12-21.
