North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell winner over Alexander Central

January 18, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681

In Thursday's league outing, the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) basketball squad prevailed the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a count of 64-54.

With the win, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to play the Huskies in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 6-9.

Next up, the Cougars play the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Alexander Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 46-40 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
