North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central thwarted by South Caldwell

The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team (Taylorsville, NC), was toppled 67-57 in Friday's non-league battle with the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC)

The Spartans now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McDowell for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5.

The Cougars (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the 3A/4A Northwestern battle with a 3-8 record.
