North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell nips Alexander Central

South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 52-49 in a league bout.
With the win, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Spartans host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to play the Huskies in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 7-14.
Next up, the Cougars play the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Alexander Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-20 record after their 68-51 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
