The Akiachak Huskies basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Tuluksak Wolverines to 28 in the Huskies non-league victory on Thursday.

With the victory, Akiachak upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Aniak (Aniak, AK) to play the Halfbreeds in a 1A Greater Kuskokwim challenge on Friday, January 19. The Halfbreeds come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Aniak won 47-35 in their recent league challenge against Kalskag (Upper Kalskag, AK)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Akiak Thunderbolts (Akiak, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Tuluksak will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 51-21 league loss to Kalskag (Upper Kalskag, AK).
