In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) basketball squad nipped the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), by a margin of 54-51.

The Panthers (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 14-0 record. In their last outing, Bridgeport got by Chase County (Imperial, NE), 65-25, in a non-league outing.

The Plainsmen now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Holyoke for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 23. Perkins County will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 72-38 league loss to Wray (Wray, CO). The Dragons record now stands at 3-7.
