The Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) basketball nipped the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), 60-54 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Panthers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gothenburg for a C1 District 11 battle on Friday, December 1. Hershey will confront a Swedes team coming off a 57-12 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, NE). The Swedes record now stands at 1-0.

The Plainsmen (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
